Tiger Walk!!

We will be sending our 3 athletic teams off with The Tiger Walk on Tuesday at 11:10 AM. Parents who wish to attend are welcome! Please check in through the front office and help us line the main hallway to cheer our Tiger Teams on as they prepare to depart for their big competitions!

Boys' Basketball Interest Meeting for students on Monday, October 3rd during tutorial in the gym.

Any 6th or 7th grade boy interested in trying out for the DCMS boys’ basketball team needs a physical on file by Monday, October 21st. Tryouts will start Monday, October 24th from 2:45-4:30 at DCMS. Boys interested should turn their physical in to Coach Kevin Grigsby and get additional information as soon as possible. Boys’ will be unable to tryout without a current physical on file.

Girls basketball tryouts will be held October 10th - 13th at DCMS from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. the team will be posted on Friday, October 14th around 1:45 PM. If your child is interested in trying out for basketball, please complete this form or have them scan the QR code posted in the DCMS gym. Girls interested in trying out must have a current physical on file. Girls without a physical on file will not be able to tryout. Are required forms are located here. Printed forms will be available in the front office at DCMS. All forms should be turned into Coach Anglin and Coach Beary on the first day of practice or emailed to them in advanced.

DCMS wrestling season is here! Any 6th thru 8th grader interested can attend our first practice on Wednesday 10/12 till 5 pm followed by a parent meeting the same night at 5:15 pm in the DCMS Cafeteria. Let’s get ready to defend our league title!

In out 6th grade Social Studies classrooms, students will begin learning about career readiness. As a part of that lesson, our 6th grade students will visit and apply their learning at the Mike & Lynn Cottrell Junior Achievement Discovery Center. It is an experimental learning lab where the students will receive hands-on, real-world interactions with business management, personal finance, and life skills.

We must have ALL permission forms by Monday, October 4th at 12 Noon. Students whose permission slip is not turned in or submitted electronically (see button below) by this deadline (absolute last day) will not be allowed to attend this event.

After school tutoring will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting September 20th. Tutoring will start at 3:00 and end at 4:00 PM. All students participating in after school tutoring must have transportation home at 4:00:PM. Please let us know if your child is coming to tutoring by completing the sign-off below.

The flu clinic is coming to DCMS next month! The flu clinic will be held on October 12th, 2022. Please click the buttons below for additional information.
