Preparation for October Service Project
As many of you may already know, our grammar/history teacher, Mrs Etie, runs the local Operation Christmas Child ministry. Operation Christmas Child is an arm of Samaritans Purse that works with local churches and ministry partners to deliver simple shoebox gifts worldwide in order to share the life-changing Good News of Jesus Christ.
We have decided to participate in Operation Christmas Child this year as one of our service projects, and in order to meet the November deadline, we are making this our inaugural project.
With that being said, this week, our area has a rare opportunity to hear from an individual that was blessed by this very ministry. Only two areas in Texas enjoy this blessing, and Beaumont happens to be one of them. Parents and students are invited to campus this Friday, to hear Renan Perdomo share the story of the hope he found in one such gift. Renan grew up in a small village in Honduras, as the youngest of 10 children. He now lives in Mississippi with his wife and two daughters.
Come to hear details as to how we are to assemble the boxes!
