Whats Happening - Oct 2016

Check it Out: MakerSpace Monday

"A makerspace is a place where students can gather to create, invent, tinker, explore and discover using a variety of tools and materials. "

“What do you do in a makerspace? The simple answer is you make things. Things that you are curious about. Things that spring from your imagination. Things that inspire you and things that you admire. The informal, playful atmosphere allows learning to unfold, rather than conform to a rigid agenda. Making, rather than consuming is the focus. It is craft, engineering, technology and wonder-driven.”

We need your ideas...

The LLC Program Committee will begin meeting in October

This volunteer group is open to all members of the Spellman community (students, teachers and parents) who want to contribute to developing our use of this space.

During our first semester the LLC was proud to host Symphonium/Arts night , Poetry Slam Coffee House, Game Club, "Lunch and Learn", Speaker series and more. We are grateful to the school community for their support and attendance at these programs. In the spirit of collaboration we invite student, faculty and parents to join our program committee.

Do you have have ideas for the speaker series or other events ? Are you interested in working with a team ? Are you willing and able to commit to to working with us throughout the semester?
