Air is a mixture of several different elements and compounds. Air contains nitrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, water vapour and and small quantities of some other gases.
ANSWER TO MY BIG QUESTION
an element is made out of one type of atom.
a compound is made out of more than one atom.
a mixture is different kinds of particles mixed together. It might be an element and a compound together.
So this is why they are different.
