WATERFORD MISSION
At Waterford Elementary we believe in all students and staff learning and growing together; where innovation, diversity, and relationships are valued.
WATERFORD VISION
Waterford Elementary School
Goshen's Opportunity for a Productive Tomorrow
Choose Your Attitude, Make Their Day, Be Present, Play
Choose Your Attitude:
This week I would like to highlight our bus drivers. Bus drivers never receive enough credit, I have been really impressed by their positive attitudes up to this point. It takes a tremendous amount of patience and attention to detail to drive a school bus safely. We are blessed to have the drivers we have. Over the next week, when you have duty, please let a few bus drivers near you know how much your appreciate the job they do for our Waterford students. Thanks!Make Their Day
Gail really made Randy's day/week with her willingness to help out in many different areas of ISTEP testing. He really appreciated her flexibility. Thanks Gail!
Be Present
Jen's presence in the office is a real blessing. She is usually the first person that people interact with on daily basis, and she has many opportunities to be the "positive face of Waterford." Her calm demeanor in dealing with difficult in-person and phone conversations with parents helps defuse many potentially difficult situations. Thanks Jen for all you do for us at Waterford.
Play
Thanks to all of the staff that dressed up as a Dr. Seuss character on Thursday. The kids really appreciate it when we are able to participate in these fun activities. Below are a few of the characters that were seen walking the halls.
LEARNING WALK ON MONDAY
Great Ideas from our Learning Walk to Joy's Room
- Observing different types of thinking
- Math talk with white boards
- Kids explain their thinking to others
- Stations set up and ready to go with "Dessert."
TLT Update
This week we continued looking at the Post-Conference feedback from our teachers in order to gain their perspectives. Next week, we will be working on making adjustments in our post conferences going forward and working to align them with the previously identified Critical Elements of a Post Conference. Once our work is completed, the adjustments will be shared.
