Early Learners Highlights
April 8, 2022
Dear Early Learners Families,
Spring is in the air - both outside and inside our classrooms! Check out our classroom update to read more out the current theme our students are learning about.
We have a few important events coming up between now and the end of the school year. Please see information below for more details on our Family Event, as well as the music concert and graduation for our Pre-K students. As a reminder, there is no school next Friday, so our weekly newsletter will go home on Thursday.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Janet

What's Happening in Early Learners?
This week our Early Learners continued the Plant and insect unit. Students' lima beans are starting to sprout and they are so excited to watch their plant germinate. Students have been learning about the life cycle of a plant, the different parts of a plant, and what job each part has to do to help the plant grow. Students will continue to study plants in their classrooms over the next two weeks and also move into learning more about insects.
The students were so excited to see that our caterpillars arrived this week and have started to explore the life cycle of butterflies! In our Pre-K classes we are studying mealworms and have started to do some scientific experiments. We have been exploring a variety of non fiction books as well as creating some beautiful spring inspired art! We can’t wait to continue these units next week and we are hopeful that the spring weather is here to stay as well!!
