Winter Holiday Break-No School

Principal's Corner

Wow! I can't believe how quickly this school year is going! I'm so excited to be spending my first December at CES. It looks like we are going to be very busy between Thanksgiving and Christmas. First of all, I want to say thank you for your patience as we navigated through the system shutdown during the middle of November. I know it was challenging as a parent to try to figure things out. We were so excited to get back into the building and have all of our students back with us on Thursday of that week. The 2nd Grade Musical will be held on December 8th at 6:30pm at CUES this year. We are also trying a fundraiser through Texas Roadhouse on December 12th. You simply need to order either take out or dine in at Texas Roadhouse on December 12th between 4-8pm and show the flyer (posted below) and CES will receive 10% of sales. Our Secret Santa Shop will be held between Dec. 12th and 16th. Our last day before Christmas break is December 23rd (half day). I hope you and your families enjoy a wonderful Holiday Season.

School Lunch Information

Free meals for all students will not continue for the 2022-2023 school year. We encourage families to complete a Free and Reduced Lunch Application below.

Attendance Matters!

Showing up to school greatly impacts a student's academic success. Families play a crucial role in ensuring that a student gets to school safely and on time daily. We understand that absences are unavoidable, such as illness or medical appointments. Please call in advance if your child will not be in school.

Happy Holiday's Little Eagle Families!

As we enter into the busy season of holiday gatherings, traditions and fun remember to leave room for downtime. Just as adults, children need time to reset now and then. Sometimes the holiday's can become overwhelming, as resilient as they are, children need us as the adults to help protect their boundaries and show understanding when things becoming to stimulating. Give you, and your family grace and build in those reset days as a family, and even one on one time with your little ones.

Happy December and Happy Holidays!

The most anticipated holiday of the year for most children is finally here. This next month will most likely be filled with holiday parties, family gatherings, lots of treats, and family traditions. I hope you are able to soak in all the big and little moments with your littles while remembering the importance of staying safe and healthy this holiday season!

I put together a short video on what it means to stay healthy over the holidays that I will link below:
