Indian Walks! - FEBRUARY 5, 2020
SHOW, DON'T TELL - When you tell rather than show, you simply inform your reader of information rather than allowing them to deduce anything. Showing would paint a picture the reader could see in her mind's eye. Please encourage students to show, don't tell!
FEEDBACK - We will do our best to leave a sticky note on each sample displayed at the next Indian Walks.
The next Indian Walks is February 5, 2020.
Nuts and Bolts **Read Carefully**
Watch A Pro - Please turn in the form for the first semester by January 24, 2020. (no exceptions).
Early Release Activities - Please begin emailing Mrs. Flaa and Mrs. Odom by Friday of each week who will need to be released for activities during the following week. We need to get better at providing teachers notice of students needing to be released an/or absent from class.
Pulling students from class for field trips and campus/district activities - We need to begin setting a standard of excellence with our students as far as being able to attend activities when they are not passing their classes. From now on please express this expectation to students and check grades before allowing students to be pulled for these types of activities. If you have any questions, please ask!
Signing out when leaving campus - Please remember to sign out in the front office anytime you leave during the school day. This has always been an expectation and needs to be followed by everyone.
Hall Passes - Students must carry a hall pass when leaving class. A copy can be found in the SHS Faculty Folder on Google Drive.
