Biggest Disaster
9/11
President George W. Bush- September 11, 2001
"A great people has been moved to defend a great nation. Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest building, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve."
What happened?
4 passenger airplanes were hijacked by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists to be flown into buildings. Two of the flights were crashed in the Twin Towers in New York City. Within an hour and 42 minutes both of the towers collapse claiming the lives of over 3,000 people including more than 400 police officers.
