The British Army



A sergeant in the British Army is responsible for the individual training, personal appearance and overall cleanliness of the soldiers. They must have the necessary ability, skill and knowledge to carry out missions and tasks but more importantly to take care of their platoon effectively.

How many people can they be in charge of?

Sergeants are second in command of a troop or platoon and are responsible for up to 35 soldiers. they also have a massive responsibility of assisting junior officers; therefore giving they give orders to the soldiers but receive orders from the officer in charge.
