Outdoor Afro! Get Ready for a historic hike adventure around the Presidio
On this six mile trek, explore the diverse sites around the Presidio including: Mountain Lake, the Batteries to Bluffs Trail, Golden Gate Bridge, Presidio Main Post, the Army planted forest and El Polín-a natural spring.
A few things to know before this adventure:
- Please register through the Outdoor Afro meet-up group.
- This will be a moderate to strenuous hike.
- We advise that persons under the age of 12 not attend this hike due to its length and strenuous portions.
- Sorry no pets allowed. There are pet restrictions along most of the trails we will travel.
- Parking in the Presidio for the day is $7.00, please see parking signs and fee kiosks for parking rule and restrictions.
- Dress in layers and wear comfortable hiking shoes.
- Don't forget your water bottles, snacks and a lunch that you can carry.

Outdoor Afro Anza National Historic Trail Hike in the Presidio
Meet Ranger Fatima at 8:30 am at the 14th Avenue Presidio Gate on 14th Avenue and Wedemeyer Street, Presidio of San Francisco. She'll be waiting by the brick gate entrance that says Presidio.
Plenty of parking available on lots near the 14th Avenue and Wedemeyer Street intersection.

Meet at the Presidio sign at 14th Avenue and Wedemeyer Street in the Presidio.
Parking Available near Meet up location
Plenty parking is available at the lots adjacent to the meeting location on Wedemeyer St and 14th Avenue. See signs and parking kiosk for parking rules and fees.

Adventure Agenda
- Begin at Mountain Lake and hike along the Anza National Historic Trail with Moraga
- Meet Ranger Mariajose at Immigration Point and brave the Batteries to Bluffs Trail
- Catch Ranger Jennifer at the Golden Gate Bridge Plaza to walk down to the Presidio Main Post
- Follow Ranger Naomi through the Historic Main Post and the Ecology Trail's forest
- End the day Rancho style at El Polín with Guadalupe Miramontes, Juana Briones, and Presidio Trust Archaeology's Kari Jones.
