100th Day T-Shirts

Can you believe the 100th day of school is next Friday?! To celebrate the 100th day, we’d like to have the middle schoolers decorate a t-shirt with 100 something. This will be an at home project and is not required - just something fun to do. :) Students will be able to wear their shirts on Friday to celebrate the 100th day school.

Here’s a link with some ideas (make sure you scroll past the penguin day ideas…although, that could be a lot of fun too!) http://seusstastic.blogspot.com/2013/02/penguin-day-100th-day-val-day-student.html

We’re excited to see how the shirts turn out!

3rd Grade Food Drive

The 3rd grade has started reading How to Steal a Dog, and the main character is homeless. As a class we discussed how we can help people like this out in our own community. So we will be hosting a food drive for Capital Area Food Bank of Texas at St. Paul Lutheran School.

We will be collecting canned food from January 19th through January 30th.

Capital Area Food Bank recommends peanut butter, canned chicken or tuna, canned low sodium vegetables, canned fruit in it's own juice, dry pinto beans, brown rice, non-fat dry milk powder, and whole grain cereal.

The mission of Capital Area Food Bank of Texas is to nourish hungry people and lead the community in ending hunger.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask any 3rd grader or email me at brett.jagels@stpaulaustin.org
