C.E. King High School (Week 3)
From the Principal's Office
Fun Times! Fun Times!
Good Evening KHS-
I hope that you all enjoyed your extended weekend with family and friends. This was a very busy weekend for me because of our anniversary and my birthday. I am very happy that we had an extra day to get things in order! I am sure many of you have the same thought!

Announcements
- We are on the B-A-B-A schedule this week, also please note that we will have a PEP rally on Friday. Mrs. Dockray sent an email with the schedule.
- Teachers please remember to update your grade books weekly. As we are entering the third week of school, grade checks are being done by parents, students, coaches, directors and sponsors. It is important to make sure grades are current. If you need help, please see your department chair.
- We are still growing! I know it can be painful at times but I appreciate everyone for their hard work. I am finding that many schools in our area seem to be growing rapidly. We prepared for a 3% population growth in the district. So far, we are at a 7% population growth since last year. Be assured that the campus and central administration is working to find solutions for not only our campus but all campuses in Sheldon ISD. If you have immediate concerns, please see your academy principal.

Attendance Counts!
Every Child, Every Day
How do you support Sheldon ISD's motto in your role?
Every Child
"Every child in your class is someone's whole world!"
Realizing that we have students from a variety of backgrounds, do we seek to know the student as an individual? No matter your role, you impact the life of a student. We must strive to build a positive relationship with every child in the building even when they initially reject us.
Every Day
"Welcome to today, Another Day, Another Chance!"
We are all human and put a great deal of work into our profession. It is hard to "let it go" and "not take it personal" when students are not reaching their potential academically or behaviorally. Every Day, we should extend new mercies to encourage them to keep pressing towards the mark of meeting our expectations.
I would love to know what you do in your role to support Every Child, Every Day! E-mail me if you'd like to share.
