Girls Inc. of Tarrant County began a semester-long series of personal development workshops with 13 MMS students:

Pathways to College Access & Career Readiness

UTA GO Center mentors spoke with AVID students during 4th period about preparing for a successful future. They'll return in March to work with the remaining AVID classes.

Jobs Skills & Career Development Workshop for Parents

MMS parents are invited to come learn about strategies that will make them a more competitive job applicant and effective employee. Elma Kirkwood of Workforce Solutions will provide tools and tips for advancing career and job options.

HBCU Showcase

In honor of Black History Month, the GO Center will host a showcase featuring HBCUs. The mini college fair will be held on Friday, February 19, 8:30 - 10:00A, in the library.


Students will be funneled in small groups from the auditorium into the library before the first bell. After that, select classes will rotate in the library until 2nd period.


Parents are welcome to attend.
