5th Grade Middle School Enrollment Night
We hope you will join us for a Middle School Enrollment Information Night on Thursday, January 31, at Chippewa Middle School starting at 6:15 pm. This is a great opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and discover the innovative approaches we are taking to ignite students' aspirations, build their self-efficacy, and increase achievement and growth. This information night is geared toward parents of incoming 6th graders. A student orientation is scheduled for early spring. We hope you can join us. If you have any questions, please call us at 651-621-6400.
Report Cards
If you do not have a ParentVUE account or are having trouble logging in, please email Tucker.Blegen@moundsviewschools.org and Tucker should respond within a business day. If you need a printed copy of the report card and can't print it from ParentVUE please email Kim.Tiede@moundsviewschools.org.
Attention Parents of 8th Grade Students
Please plan to attend Mounds View High Schools Enrollment Information Night on Monday, February 4th. This evening is an opportunity for you to learn about Mounds View High School and ask questions that will help to inform you and your student as they transition to high school.
The large group presentations will begin at 5:30 PM and 7:00 PM in the MVHS commons area and auditorium. To accommodate our space, we ask that families whose last names begin with A-L attend at 5:30 PM and those with last names M-Z attend at 7:00 PM.
Following each presentation:
- Teachers and deans will be in the lower commons to answer questions about seminar, placements and early college.
- Coaches and advisers will be in the upper commons to provide information on co-curricular opportunities.
- The Mustang Lockerroom (school store) will be open for business from 4-8 PM.
- Shelbi Eckman, Registrar, will be available in her office from 5-8:30 PM for any questions about your student’s record, contact information or ParentVUE.
- Mustang Mentors will be available for building tours at 6:15-7:00 PM or 7:45-8:30 PM.
We hope to see you on February 4 and look forward to having you as a member of the Mounds View High School community. Welcome Class of 2023!

ChAC
The Chippewa Advisory Council (ChaC) likes to express appreciation to our teachers and staff by providing meals during different occasions during the year. The next meal will be a chili bar before the 5th Grade Parent Information Night on January 31st. If you would like to contribute to this meal, please sign up to bring food by 2:00 on that day. Thank You!!
Winter Weather Reminders
Parents should assume all schools are open unless they see or hear differently. Phone, text and website updates will only occur if a decision has been made to close schools. The District is monitoring temperatures and wind chills with updates from the National Weather Service - Twin Cities. Throughout the District, schools have done the following to prepare for the extreme cold.
Lego Drive
What happened to
7.2 million LEGOs
collected last year?
These LEGOs were collected, sorted, organized and packaged into kits or barrels for easy distribution.
These LEGOs will be used across the district to start new elementary level robotics teams, and also supply existing teams with supplemental parts.
Our district-wide robotics program is only in its second year, but with the generous donations from the community we know it will successfully impact hundreds of students over the years.
