CPE Sideline
January 2016
Welcome 2016! It's going to be a great year!
We hope everyone enjoyed a few extra days with your family. Both the Simon House and Frankfort Humane Society appreciated your donations this past holiday season.
It has been a difficult time for some of our co-workers losing loved ones (Renee, Reecie, and Elaine). Donations are still being accepted if you'd like to contribute to honor their wishes. I'll collect through this Friday.

HR News
PERSONNEL
Billy Crabtree, Senior Associate for KYAE, will retire January 31, 2016.
Mike Bailey, Senior Associate for Information/Applications Development, will retire June 30, 2016.
We appreciate their dedicated public service of more than 50 years combined and wish them the very best as they plan for their next life chapters. Their position vacancies are under consideration for the agency's best needs. More will come as discussions continue.
Multiple interviews are being conducted to fill positions that were posted on the CPE website: Senior Associate, Research; Senior Associate, KYAE; Senior Associate for Academic Affairs, Associate for Data and Information; and Director for KYVL. The candidate pools were strong, so we hope to have a few recommendations to the Governor's office this month.
Please also note that GEAR UP has a continual opening for College and Career Advisors that may work part to full time positions based on coverage needs. These positions work directly in the schools with students and are contracted through a temporary agency for the school year. There is always a need for qualified candidates. If you know of someone interested, they can visit the website to learn more and send their information directly to HR. We will share with GEAR UP for current and future vacancies.
Positions under reviews: Billy Crabtree's senior associate KYAE and succession planning for Mike Bailey's senior associate position.

Carpet cleaning will take place on Saturday, February 27th. This is for the main hallways and common areas. If you have a spot inside an office, please email cpeccs@ky.gov to give specific location.
Electronic door lock update....No further word on the timing. Quotes have been received, but with our office sharing partners, Attorney General and Local Government administration changes, the project is delayed. We'll keep checking...
