Summary
Dark of the Moon is about Ariadne, a teenage girl who is preparing a to become a goddess. Ariadne leads a lonely life, filled with hours of training, her friends dont bother to look nor speak to her. All that Ariadne has left is her mother and her beloved, monster like brother Asterion, who must be held captive so he wouldnt roam the island and hurt people. A ship arrives bringing slaves to Athens, Ariadne leaves her house to meet them, thats when she meets Theseus, the son of the king of Athens. Ariadne finds herself drown toTheseus and begins a friendship with him. But Theseus is doomed to die as an offering to the minotaur, the monster beneath the palace, unless he can kill the beast first and the monster is Ariadne's brother Asterion.
Author Biography
Tracy Barrett was born in 1955 in Cleveland Ohio. Tracy grew up mostly in New York and went to college in New England. Tracy is the author of many books and magazine article for younger readers. Tracy has a Bachelor's Degree with honors in Classic- Archaeology and a M.A and P.H. D. in Medieval Italian Literature. Her interest are in the ancient and medival writings.
