Hints, Tidbits and Suggestions....
1.) Bring a pen/pencil and paper to take notes during training sessions.
2.) Always have your camera or phone ready for pictures! So many photo ops!
3.) Bring snacks for the training session - a lot of gals get hungry mid-day. Nuts, dried fruit, fresh fruit, and bars are great options.
4.) If you are like Erin and need to eat the minute you wake up - consider bringing the instant oatmeal cups (they are from Target, Quaker Oats brand). Use the in-room coffee pot to boil water and just pour it in to the oatmeal cup for a quick, healthy breakfast. :)
5.) Expect to have a million ideas and thoughts while traveling home - you will feel so energized and ALIVE after Hoopla. A great suggestion: Write everything down and clear out your head. Get your ideas on paper, and narrow down the 2 or 3 things you want to focus on for July, as you finish out the month.
6.) Consider buying some postcards from the gift shop and sending it out to several prospects as a booking/sponsoring tool. Bring some stamps from home with you!
7.) Throughout Hoopla, you might see these amazing numbers and hear from some amazing Stylists, and you might think, "She's awesome! How does she do it?!" and some girls think, "I could never do that!" Stop your negative nelly voice, shake off the thought when that creeps across your mind, and know that those amazing women achieved greatness one step at a time. One booking and one trunk show at a time. They achieved success because they were focused and they put in the work - it's not because they are more special or well-connected than you are. This Hoopla, let's tell ourselves how amazing we are and how capable we are. Tell ourselves, "Wow, she's amazing! Good for her! She'll be my inspiration, as I strive to be there next year - watch me, world, here I come!!"
8.) OK, I know you're asking, so here's a simple breakdown of suggested attire:
2 dressy outfits (fashion show & dance party)
2 casual chic outfits (trainings)
2 plane ride outfits (coming & going)
1 bathing suit and coverup (for pool time networking & water slide fun!)
1-2 sweaters, blazers or scarves as a light layer for training & for the plane
