the Revolution of Science

What was the change?
Scholars during the Scientific Revolution advanced because they questioned old and long believed ideas and it spurred the intellectuals to prove the beliefs wrong and be known for their accomplishments
who where the people involved in the Scientific Revolution?
Adreas Vesalius
Adreas Vesalius became famous through his unique interpretations of the human body during the Scientific Revolution. The old belief he was proving wrong was of a Greek man named Galen.Galen's discoveries of the human body had been mislead by his experiments on pigs and other animals,in the assumption that their internal body structures weren't that different from our own. Adreas performed experiments on human corpses for his information.
Galileo Galilei
Galileo Galilei was an Italian scientist who was fascinated with the heavens(space) and built a telescope for his personal discoveries in 1609. A year later he published a small book titled "Starry Messenger". This book held majority of Galileo's heavenly findings like, Jupiter having four moons(it actually has sixty-four as of now),the earth's moon being rough and rocky and not smooth like many believed at the time.
Nicolaus Copernicus
Nicolaus Copernicus was a scientist interested in an idea the Greeks formulated that the sun is the middle of the universe. This theory was known as the Heliocentric theory. Nicolaus delved more into the topic and proved it true by studying the movements of the planets around earth and around where he believed the sun was.
How did this change affect society?
This change affected society by changing the culture and beliefs of the time. The changes caused people to seek more knowledge and in turn discovered and shared more and more of the new things they found.Societies grew and changed according to developing beliefs and culture. As societies grew and changed they branched off and changed in to unique branches of differences within themselves.
How are those changes evident today?
Today people still use ideas discovered back then and are still building upon them. The past changes are still evident through our technology and way of life. The past discoveries are still used in places like operating rooms and science classes all over the world. If the scientists back then hadn't discovered new things and experimented with new ides our present day world wouldn't have had a foundation to build itself upon and it would not exist without the efforts of those great people.
