Solar Eclipses

Why Solar Eclipses happen

Solar Eclipses happen because the moon blocks the sun and we have a Solar Eclipses!

Solar Eclipses can last up to 7.5 min.

Now lets talk about the Lunar Eclipses...

Lunar Eclipses

A Lunar Eclipses occurs when the Moon passes directly behind the Earth into its umbra (shadow). This can occur only when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned (in "syzygy") exactly, or very closely so, with the Earth in the middle. Hence, a lunar eclipse can only occur the night of a full moon.

Many Solar Eclipses!

When you see them, you see them once because all Solar Eclipses are different to other Eclipses ( you can look in pictures or video).

Frequlantly asked questions

Usually there are many questions about this topic and I want to go over them with you...

1.How come you cant look at a Solar or Lunar Eclipses, because our eyes mess up!

2.How come you use special sun glasses to look at the sun, the special sunglases have a special plastic or glass that you only look at the sun.

Now that I'm almost done but I'll tell you some facts...

Solar Eclipses only happen once.

Sollar Eclipses are EPIC to look at (unless you have special sun glasses).
