A Note From the Principal
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We would like to thank 11th District Court of Appeals Judge John Eklund for his generous donation to Munson Elementary, which will allow us to purchase protective eyewear for ALL Munson students and staff members for the upcoming eclipse in April! Judge Eklund is a former Munson Elementary parent and grandparent. He has been extremely supportive of our school community over the years. More information about the school and district's plans for the eclipse will be coming in the months ahead. I hope you'll join me in thanking Judge Eklund for generously supporting our students and staff! 😎
Thank you,
Mathew Prezioso

Infinite Campus Annual Update
The Annual Update must be completed by ALL Chardon Local Schools households every year, for every student, even if there are no changes. This ensures that you have created your Parent Portal Account so that we have the most accurate information for your student and household. This helps us to contact you promptly in case of an emergency, allows you to pay for student meals and school fees online, and gives you access to important forms and documents, including report cards. We need your updated information as soon as possible! Please find Annual Update instructions HERE.
Shout out to Mrs. Sobodosh, Mr. Buemi, and Mrs. McClintock's classes for completing ALL of their Annual Updates! Mrs. Suszynski, Mrs. Woodrow and Mrs. Burress's classes each have only ONE left to complete! Mrs. Hardman/Mrs. Reinhard (2 left) is close behind, followed by Mrs. Turk and Mrs. Ferguson with 3, Mrs. Dinko and Mrs. Bates/Miss Gillespie with 4, and Mrs. Elliott with 9.
If you are not sure if your Annual Update has been completed, check with the office. Thank you!
Topper Ticket Winners!
Topper Tickets are part of Munson's PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) system and are given to students as a special recognition when they demonstrate a Topper Trait - Taking Responsibility, Offering Kindness, and Persevering. Each day, we randomly select a few Topper Ticket winners from each grade level to receive a prize! Check the newsletter each week for their names!

We also randomly choose one Topper Ticket winner per grade to spin the Wheel of Fun each week! (We even have a Wheel of Fun theme song! Ask your kids about it!) The prizes on the wheel are a step up from the usual, and include things like having lunch with a friend in Mr. Prez's office, visiting a "secret" part of the school, an extra recess for your class, book vending machine tokens, and more! Congratulations to this week's winners - Collyn Cooper, Isla Miller, Adeline Crookshanks, and Micah Bernardo!
Adeline gets to watch the school security cameras with Mr. Prez!
Micah gets to do the morning announcements!
