What We're Learning
Math - Students are working on Unit 7 & 8 Math Units for the next four weeks. We are learning how to multiply fractions by a whole number, how to add and subtract mixed numbers, and reviewing data/line plots. At the same time, we are reviewing all 4th grade skills while we prepare for the MAP test.

Writing - Students have been busy making sure that they can write independently to a narrative, informational, and opinion prompt. Last week we focused on an opinion essay on school uniforms. This week our focus will be an informational piece on how we can save water. Students watched a short video and read an article on the topic and will use that information in their writing. We will wrap up the month making sure that we are ready for our first writing experience on the MAP test.
Lately, students have been publishing their writing on Pages and submitting them to me on SeeSaw. If your student is in Mrs. Schell's or Mrs. Adamson's class, you can access their writing through the SeeSaw sheet that I sent home with them today.
