Plan Con Letter
“Over the past year, as the borrowing plan was being developed, the education community was supportive of structuring the plan to build in capacity for future school construction,” they wrote. “This additional capacity would preserve dollars within the PlanCon line item for new projects, pursuant to the recommendations of the PlanCon Advisory Committee…. Also, the additional capacity would not require borrowing additional dollars for new projects; instead, this capacity would result from structuring the debt payments to create a gap between the amount needed to pay the debt and the PlanCon line item, which was $306 million in 2014-15 before being zeroed out. Such a structure could provide an estimated $40 million annually to guarantee that a program for school construction reimbursement would continue in the future. Failing to structure the borrowing in a way that includes additional capacity from the beginning has significant negative implications for all stakeholders involved.”

CHARLEROI DAY OF HOPE
A LETTER FROM GREG ANDERS:
We are just a week away. Just sending out a reminder about our last Day of Hope meeting. It will be at 7pm Monday Sept 12th at CityReach Church Charleroi. 1006 Fallowfield Ave. We are asking for everybody to be there. All organizations only need to send one representative to receive the last detailed instructions about Saturday and to pick up any shirts they ordered. If your organization or church wants to wear their own shirts, you are able to do so. There are some organizations that have people that are volunteering in general and in certain zones. These volunteers, we want them to attend monday. That way they can meet the team leader and have an idea of what they will be doing during the outreach. Monday evening , we will have the organizations and the volunteers get together in their teams to meet their team leader. At this time, the team leaders will let you know what to expect. We have 250 volunteers and 1,000 people registered at this point with registrations coming in at 75- 100 people a day. Last year, half of our people who attended either did not pre-register or registered in the last week. There is a chance we could exceed our expectations. See you Monday!
