What information do you want to get to the parents? “ 3rd quarter newsletter is going on the website soon and also will be emailed to all parents. We have had a ton of less trouble, less failures, and a lot less tardies. I think this is because kids are starting to prepare for next year. Important school dates such as 8th graders going to the high school 6th graders coming here will be on the school calendar soon.”
What do you think about the 7th graders knowing that they started bad and how they are now? “Maturity is growing and they are starting to realize academics is important because you can’t play sports without good grades. This year is a good year to be a Trojan!”

Dear Peyton and Alex,
- To help deal with stress, try and stay away from drama because it'll just put more stress on you, and if you are stressed out with school work, try planning out when you will finish your work so that way you don't have to do it all last minute and it'll stress you out even more.
I would like advice on how to be better at making friends, and how to have a healthier friendship with my friends.
- If you want to make friends, then just be yourself and try to find things in common with that person. To have a healthier relationship with your friends, try not to keep secrets, try not to exclude them from hangout sessions, and most importantly if you have a problem with them, talk to them about it. Don't gossip!
I would like advice on dating girls.
- Okay so I get that you guys think that dating girls is a big deal here in middle school. Its really not..... the relationships don't even last that long? They only last like a week maybe at the most a month. But if you really like a girl then just be yourself and don't pretend to like stuff that she likes just to get her to like you back. Another thing is don't go from girl to girl. That leaves a bad impression on for yourself, and girls won't like you. If you really like a girl stick to that one girl, don't go jumping around just because she doesn't like you back. It makes you seem desperate or "thirsty." Last thing, if you like a girl tell her face to face. DO NOT play with a girl's emotions!
I would like advice on how to handle my anxiety about what people think of me and how to gain more self-confidence. I would also like to know how to deal with anxiety about PE or class tests.
- Honestly don't worry about what others think of you. You are perfect just the way you are. You don't need to change for ANYONE. The first step to having self-confidence is believing in yourself. If you don't think you can do it, then it'll only stress you out. And as for PE and class tests, just study and try to do your best. If you don't make a good grade the first time, then study harder for the next test.

As a man was passing the elephants, he suddenly stopped, confused by the fact that these huge creatures were being held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. No chains, no cages. It was obvious that the elephants could, at anytime, break away from their bonds but for some reason, they did not.
He saw a trainer nearby and asked why these animals just stood there and made no attempt to get away. “Well,” trainer said, “when they are very young and much smaller we use the same size rope to tie them and, at that age, it’s enough to hold them. As they grow up, they are conditioned to believe they cannot break away. They believe the rope can still hold them, so they never try to break free.”
The man was amazed. These animals could at any time break free from their bonds but because they believed they couldn’t, they were stuck right where they were.
Like the elephants, how many of us go through life hanging onto a belief that we cannot do something, simply because we failed at it once before?
Failure is part of learning; we should never give up the struggle in life.
