Google Chrome

Google Chrome is an Internet browser developed by Google. Creating an account in Chrome will allow you to view all of your bookmarks on any computer with Internet connection. Visit their Tutorial for more information.

Google Drive/Docs

Google Docs is a free, Web-based word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, form, and data storage service offered by Google. It allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating in real-time with other users. Every NEISD employee and student (except K-2) has a Google Docs account. Google Forms

Within Google Docs, you can quickly create a form or survey, send it to students, parents, teachers, or staff, and keep track of the answers in one spreadsheet. Google Plus

Google Plus is a social networking service that allows you to communicate with other members in our district or community. You can post ideas, share lesson plans, and keep informed on upcoming events. Visit Google Plus in NEISD to create your account.


Google Hangouts

Google Hangouts is an instant messaging service. You create circles based on your connections in Google Plus. You will need to install a browser extension from the Chrome Store so you can receive notifications. Visit Google Plus in NEISD for video tutorials.


Google Earth

Google Earth allows you to travel the world through a virtual globe and view satellite imagery, maps, terrain, 3D buildings, and much more. With Google Earth's rich, geographical content, you are able to experience a more realistic view of the world. My Maps

My Maps helps you create advanced custom maps to share with collaborators and also publish to the web. You can visualize and map more data, like dog-friendly hiking spots or even spotting sharks! Import locations from a spreadsheet, use layers to visualize different types of content, or simply draw and add places, lines, and shapes. Click here for a Tutorial.

Google Custom Search Engine

Google Custom Search enables you to search over a website or a collection of websites. Harness the power of Google to create a search engine tailored to your needs and interests, and present the results in your website.
