Our Learning for this Week!

We are 'All-In' this Together!

This SMORE...

To All Our Mathews Families,

Today we officially pilot our Remote Learning program as a district.

Contact information is provided below in addition to Links to Learning for each grade level as well as from Specials and from our school counselor, Mrs. Toler.

We are committed to helping all our children continue to learn and grow as we work together through Remote Learning. All our teachers, General Education, Special Education, Teaching Assistants and staff are committed to meeting the needs of ALL of our students. Our ESL teacher, Math Rocks, Special Education, Speech, Take Flight, and PACE teacher are reaching out to our community to support all aspects of learning during this time.

We thank you for your feedback and patience as we work through this time together.

With grace and trust we are 'All-In' this together.

PLEASE know, we know many of you are working from home, or someone else is helping care for your family. The learning opportunities below are user friendly. Our teachers are available to respond to your emails Monday through Friday, 9:00-11:00 a.m. and again from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Please forward this to friends who may not already be signed up for e-News as well as encourage them to sign up for e-News at:

Take care of you and yours and in so doing, we take care of each other.

Chromebook Log-In Glitches and Fixes!

If your child tries to log on the chromebook you picked up and finds another student is still logged in:

Have your child click on the bottom right and sign-out.

Then they can log in with his/her information and password.

If your child is 'locked-out' and the computer is asking for another student's password:

Simply power the computer off.

Hold the power button down for ten seconds then turn it back on.

This should clear the past user and allow your child to sign in.

We are 'All-In' this together!

Thank you for your patience and support.

The Mathews community...students, parents, teachers and staff...a GREAT place to be...even if we are 'remote'.

You can instantly stream stories, across six different languages, for free that will help your child fall in love with reading. You might enjoy it too! All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.

How This Will Work...

We wanted to let you know that we have a plan in place in order to distribute Chromebooks to all students who would like one.

On Monday, March 23 we will have a window of time open for all families to drive through in order to pick up one per student if needed.

We are going to ask that families drive through the south carpool lane (By the gym) between the hours of 1 PM and 7 PM.

We are requesting that families please remain in your vehicle the entire time. A staff member will greet you and then check out a specific Chromebook to each student.

Please be prepared to share your student(s) ID number.

Again, this is from 1 PM to 7 Pm this Monday (March 23rd)

If you are unable to drive through on Monday, we will be distributing Chromebooks on Tuesday, March 24 from 9:30-2:30 in the front (west) carpool lane.

On those days we also ask that you remain in your vehicle.

Our hope is to get the majority of our Chromebooks distributed to students on Monday.

Adjustments to this schedule may be made as needed, so please watch for updated communications and regularly check the Plano ISD website for new information.

Grab-and-go meals will be available for curbside pickup at the following times:
