What's Happening week of March 18, 2019
School Mass is moved to TUESDAY, March 19th at 9:00 // NO Choir
SUPERMARKET SWEEP
We are asking each family to sell their 20 raffle tickets and return them BEFORE March 20th. We will be pulling the winning ticket at the Mother-Son Nerf Wars on March 23rd.
Tickets are $10 each and will sell themselves! Everyone is excited for a NEW raffle!
*disregard the ticket # on the front- this # does not matter and yes they are the same*
You need to keep only the left half of the ticket with the purchaser's name and phone number and they retain the other part of the ticket.
We will have more raffle tickets in the office if you need them once you sell your 20.
We will also be looking for families to help us sell them after Masses next weekend.
These funds will provide field trip bussing and other end of the year program and activities for our students. We thank you for you support of the PTO
Welcome Mrs. Koetsch
Mrs. Koetsch started to get to know our students by getting into each classroom to read to them.
She will be working with students who need to continue developing their social skills, self regulation, coping skills and more.
Mrs. Koetsch comes to us with a Master's Degree in Special Education as well as her Reading Specialist certification. She has been an educator for over 20 years as an Inclusion teacher, Kindergarten Teacher and Learning Specialist.
Please help us welcome Mrs. Koetsch!
The Blue Light Special worth 2 pts next week is Tuna Fish (with Jelly a bonus until Tuesday!!)
The Lenten Food Drive is off to a great start. As of today, the students have donated over 1250 items to the Matthew 25 Food Pantry. This will certainly help many local families.
The top donating class will be given a pizza party as a gift of appreciation. Currently, Kindergarten is our top donating class, followed by First Grade in second, and Second Grade is just behind. It is a close race, and there is plenty of time for any class to pull ahead.
Next week, March 18 – 22, the Blue Light Special will be tuna fish. It will count as 2 points. The Extra Blue Light Special for jelly will only be on for two more days, Monday and Tuesday, March 18 & 19. This is a great way to rack up some points for a class!
Last week’s notice stated that the food drive would end on Holy Thursday, but that is during April vacation. So, our food drive will be shortened and end on April 12, the Friday before vacation.Car line Names!!!
We appreciate you working with us to try this for a quicker and safer pick up line!
Thank You
Internet Safety
We wanted to share a few resources with parents for keeping your kids safe online. Children need reminders all the time not to share their passwords, not to friend 'strangers' online, how to THINK before posting and more. We hope you find these articles helpful.
