Dear Arleta Families -
The final community event in support of the district’s Visioning work is coming up May 11. For more information on PPS Visit the Visioning landing page.
This will be a fun event and the last opportunity for our families, students, educators and community members to weigh in on the PPS vision before we finalize it in the weeks ahead.

Come join the PTA!
One of the best ways to show your kids that school is important is to be a part of it!
Take a leadership role within the PTA and help support Arleta in being a great place for all our kids.
>>These positions are required for us to be a PTA<<
President and Vice President, or two Co-Presidents: Two people are needed to lead a dedicated group of volunteers and work with administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and community members to help support Arleta. The president(s) helps our PTA achieve the membership’s chosen goals and ensures we stay in compliance with state and national PTA guidelines. Some specific duties include planning and facilitating meetings, being a co-signer on our bank account, and helping out at events. This position can be done by a president and vice-president or two co-presidents.
The following positions help the PTA meet its goals and build a community of Arleta supporters.
Fundraising Chair(s): Work with school administration, PTA board, and membership to create and achieve fundraising goals to support all the great things the PTA does for Arleta! This position could be shared between two co-chairs and you will have a committee of volunteers to help.
Teacher Appreciation Chair(s): Lead a committee to show our teachers and staff how much we value their work! Coordinate dinner for November parent teacher conferences, Teacher Appreciation week in May, and other dates as you choose in between. You will have a team of volunteers to help and a small budget for purchases. Meetings are not required, and this position can be shared between co-chairs.
Or create your own position! Do you have any special skills or passion that you would like to bring to the PTA to help support our school! We would love to hear more!
As you consider which role is right for you, keep in mind that past members are remaining on the board and can get you acquainted with the PTA. Please contact us with questions and nominations – arletaschoolpta@gmail.com
