ILLNESS/MEDICATION
In the event that your child is sick, please do not send them to school. Your child must be free from fever for 24 hours before they may return to school.
If your student needs to take medication at school, the parent/guardian will need to transport the medication to school, along with a clinic form to be kept at school. Please do not send your student with the medication.

New Life Academy of Excellence will follow Gwinnett County Public Schools in school closures and delays.
GCPS PARENT PORTAL
We strongly encourage our parents/guardians at New Life Academy of Excellence to register for access to the Gwinnett County Public School (GCPS) Parent Portal. Among many of the benefits, the portal offers a one-stop location for information regarding your student's grades and records.
The updated Parent Portal gives parents access to grades, assignments, and communication with teachers. The Parent Portal gives families a direct line to the classroom, with 24/7 real-time information and anytime, anywhere access, with in-portal translation in multiple languages.
If you do not have access to the GCPS Portal, download, complete, and bring the form to the front office at school. Forms are also available at the school.
Grade Promotion
Should a student not earn promotion to the next grade, he or she may have the opportunity to attend summer school in-person during the summer of 2023 to learn the AKS standards not mastered during the school year.
It is strongly recommended that students and parents/guardians use the GCPS Parent Portal to access class grades and maintain passing grades in all courses.
