Principles of ESL Co-Teaching

For ESL and Classroom Teachers
Co-teaching in ESL is a service delivery model that involves collaboration between the classroom/ content area teacher and the ESL teacher. Co-teaching includes the distribution of responsibility among teachers for planning, instruction, and evaluation, in order to provide specialized language instruction within the setting of a general education classroom.
