Dear Parents

I am writing to keep you informed of the many things taking place at LCMS. I would like to first start off with a HUGE thank you for helping with our drop-off and pickup. I hope that each of you have a restful three day weekend.

Student Drop-off and Pickup in front of LCMS

I need each parent dropping off or picking up to do so in front of the Special Education building, so that we do not back traffic up to Woodrow Road and Loop 493. I ask that you DO NOT drop students off or pick up students in front of the Middle School building. We have placed a sign out front and will need you to pull all the way up to the sign to let your student in or out. We ask that you form double lines up to the sign. Once at the cone, we will file out with a single line. Last week went really well with pickup and drop-off and I really appreciate each parent for helping with this.

Lubbock-Cooper Middle School Parent Organization

We have our Parent/Teacher Organization up and going and we are in need of volunteers. I would love to have each parent plug in somewhere during the school year.

We will have a Parent Meeting on Tuesday, September 8 at 6PM in the LCMS Cafeteria to inform parents of our goals and where we can get you plugged in.

21st Century ACE Before and After School Programs

ACE Programming is HERE! LCMS received a federal grant that is administered by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) and funded by the 21st CCLC Program administered by the US Department of Education…what that means to you is the programs and activities facilitated through the Afterschool Centers on Education (ACE) are designed to offer a variety of activities for students and their families. These activities are at NO COST

to participants! You’ll find the afternoon program schedule and registration form on the attached page. If you would like to enroll your student simply fill out the registration form with your preferences – then return the form to school no later than Friday, September 4 . Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis for some after school programs. Morning programs are open enrollment and require no registration. Please sign up for the ACE Remind seen below. Thank you and please let me know if you have any questions.
