HFRCS Newsletter SY2021-2022
October 12, 2021 - Volume 1 Issue 8
From the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our Hawk Walk is officially underway! All parents should have received access to the donation page for their child(ren). Now all you must do is share that link with your family and friends! Our official “walk” is scheduled for Friday, October 22. The donation platform will remain live until Friday, November 5. I thank in advance all our Holy Family parents and families for their amazing support of this important fundraising effort!
In last week’s newsletter, you received a link to order hot lunch online. The form is easy to complete. We are working to move toward paperless ordering. If you have any questions about the lunch order form, please contact our school secretary, Mrs. Mangapit at michelle.mangapit@hfrcs.org. Lunch orders are due today. Please let your child(ren) know when they are getting a hot lunch as lunches are ordered based on the numbers of orders received. Parents who would like to order hot lunch for their child(ren) for the year can email Mrs. Prasse at patricia.prasse@hfrcs.org.
This Thursday, we will be celebrating “A Call to Kindness Day.” The students may dress down for $1 and all proceeds will be going to a new program in the Archdiocese entitled Rising Together Alliance. The mission of RTA is to provide children with special needs the opportunity for an inclusive Catholic education in their local parochial schools within the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. A Call to Kindness Day is a day to celebrate the differences in all of us and what makes each child unique. Just as a reminder, Thursday, October 14 is also an early dismissal day. All school districts (except Bensalem) will be sending busses.
This Thursday afternoon, our 8th grade students from Queen of the Universe Parish will be receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. Please join me in praying for these, our newest members of the Church: “Lord, You send out Your Spirit to touch the hearts of all people, so that they may believe in You and in Jesus whom You sent. Look kindly on all candidates for Confirmation as they listen to Your voice. Open their hearts to Your Spirit and bring to fulfillment the good work that You have begun in them.”
Congratulations to our candidates for Confirmation! God Bless You!
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Haggerty

I'll be reaching out to all of our new families over the course of the week to hear how the first month of school has gone for their child(ren). If any of our new families would like to schedule a follow-up call or meeting, then I would be more than happy to accommodate. If you have yet to hear from me at the time you are reading this, don't fret; I'll be getting in touch soon!
Quick Reminders:
- Enrollment for the 2022-23 school year opens in January but if you plan on enrolling another child, please feel free to let us know as soon as possible. Thank you!
- Holy Family's Referral Program is a great way to grow our school community while taking at least $200 off of your tuition tab for the school year. Remember, there is no limit to the amount of times a family can utilize the referral program!
