Lego Mindstorms Club
Wednesday Lunchtimes in D5
News update
In September this year, we launched the Lego Mindstorms Club - a fun way to learn about controlling robots and a nice introduction to some simple programming.
So far we have built our robots and we are just starting to create the programs to make the robots work.
We are looking for some more people to join the club so that we can start running some robot competitions. Will you have the fastest robot? Can you navigate the maze in the shortest amount of time?
About the Club
Intelligent Brick
The Lego has an intelligent brick which can be programmed to make decisions based on it's surroundings. The sensors available can listen for sounds, look for different colours, sense if it is light or dark and feel things.
The Software
Programming is done on the computer by dragging and dropping blocks.
The Robot
This is the robot that we are using. Soon we will be completing challenges where pupils will build their own robots.
Get Involved!
If you want to come along or just if you want to find out more come and join us.
