Red Tail Cadets - Y22 New Inductees
Reigniting the heroic legacy of young African-American pilots (Tuskegee Airman), the Red Tail Cadet Program (RTCP) seeks to enhance and transform the lives of at-risk youth through aviation education and career path opportunities, so that they may more positively impact their community. The RTCP would offer a unique, premier aviation youth outreach program that enables youth to obtain pilot’s licenses and start an aviation career path. Such an effort can be accomplished through supporting the Flight Training, Life Skills, Leadership Development, and Educational Assistance programs.
The Red Tail Cadet Program is a six-week, residential, immersive flight-training experience, is designed to introduce students to the aviation industry and to develop their skills through classroom instruction, flight simulator training, in-aircraft flight training, financial literacy seminars, leadership training, and life-skills development, with the ultimate goal of setting them on the path towards a career in aviation.
Selected from a pool of applicants from the Ferguson-Florissant School District, the cadets are chosen based on their academic excellence, community involvement, and their aptitude for success in a rigorous aviation program.
Congrats DECA Award Winners!

At this time we recommend that all scholars and families WAIT before purchasing PE uniforms. Due to COVID Safety Mitigation, PE Uniforms will not be worn at the beginning of the school year.
Now that we have 3 approved outerwear options (¼ zip sweatshirts, cardigans, and blazers) these are the only approved uniform outerwear pieces. It is highly recommended that scholars and their families purchase a blazer and one other outerwear piece of your choice. (Non-uniform Coats, jackets, hoodies, etc… will be put away during the school day).
Hats, head coverings and hoods are not approved with the STEAM High uniform, but may be worn for religious practices followed by individual scholars and their families, on dress down/spirit wear days, or with special permission from the leadership team.
Scholars or families seeking uniform assistance may email jcrawford@fergflor.org.
Special non-uniform days will be scheduled throughout the year and will be available as spirit days, and rewards for accomplishments.
Fischer’s is our uniform source, so please shop online or in the store NOW so you are ready for the second semster to begin!
