GREGORY HILL NEWSLETTER
March 2023
Message from the Principal
Hello Parents, Families, and Community Members,
Although we are getting closer to spring, March is our snowiest month so please make sure your students come dressed for the weather. We often go outside even if the weather is not ideal. As a reminder, we will have parent-teacher conferences March 1st and 2nd. This is a great opportunity to find out how your child is progressing this year. March 1st will be a regular school day, but there will be no school on Thursday, March 2nd.
As a friendly reminder, please respect our neighbors by not parking in front of their driveways.
Jennifer Keyes
ELC Principal

Inclement Weather
Remote Learning
Westminster Public Schools will be moving to remote learning days for all future inclement weather days. For students at the preschool level, remote learning can be challenging. If a remote learning day is called, please expect an email from your child’s teacher with examples of home learning activities you can complete with your child. Teachers will also offer two zoom lessons that students can join from a home device or even a phone. Optional Chromebooks will also be available to families if you would like to check one out for the day.
Delayed Start
As the weather starts to get cooler and we get more snow the district may call a delayed start. If a delated start is announced, there will be no class for the AM session. The PM session will continue as a normal school day.

UPK Colorado Update for students returning to Preschool
Universal Preschool registration portal has been delayed in informing you of your child’s placement in our programs. Please know that the Universal Preschool program is a new statewide program and has had some glitches in the early stages. We continue to be dedicated to enrolling your child as soon as possible in our WPS programs, and will do our best to have an answer for you in mid-March concerning your child’s preschool placement for the 2023-2024 school year. We thank you in advance for your patience as we all navigate this new Universal Preschool process and we look forward to getting in touch with you in the coming weeks about your child’s upcoming placement.
