LAST CALL for Salford Hills Elementary School Directory 2023-2024!

Salford Hills Home and School Association (HSA) publishes a printed school directory for each new school year which includes faculty lists, class lists and student contact information.

Please complete the form below by THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 8, 2023. Only one form per family is required. You may provide as much or as little information as you wish. If you choose not to publish your information, please check the "No, do not include our family information in the directory."

Families should please respect the privacy of those listed in the directory. The directory is provided for private use by families; it is not for use for any business purpose. Salford Hills Elementary School and the HSA are not responsible for any misuse of this directory. For those families who opt to not be listed in the directory list, HSA information will still be sent home via email newsletters and teacher distribution. Thank you!

Car Rider Pick Up Information Form

Please complete the below information if you choose to pick up your child(ren) as a daily car rider. A car rider once or twice can be handled with a simple note to the office on the morning of the change.
Upon completing this information, you will receive a school-issued name placard for each person listed. The name placard must be placed on the passenger side dashboard, so it is visible through the front windshield of your vehicle. Children will only be allowed to leave in vehicles with school-issued name tags. If you do not have the placard, you will be asked to pull forward to physically sign out your child.

If your child will be a car rider, please send a note into their teacher letting them know you will be picking them up.

5th Grade Activities

Fifth grade enjoyed getting together as a whole grade for an activity the first day of school. Kiddos got to catch up with some old friends and start making some new ones. We talked about how the activity we did was challenging, but we were all able to maintain a positive attitude. And that’s really similar to school at times: it can feel tricky, but we can persevere by asking for help, trying again, and keeping a smile on our faces. Fifth graders are excited for the challenges and leadership opportunities in our year ahead!

Calling All Homeroom Parents!

We are looking for Homeroom Parents for each class! The primary responsibility of Homeroom Parents is to work closely with the teacher in organizing the 3 class Socials for the 2023/24 school year. All Socials run for 1 hour from 2-3 PM. Prior to each Social you will create a letter to be sent home to all parents in your class (an example will be provided). This is usually sent from the teacher directly to the parents with your name as contact. The Socials include time to complete a craft, play a game and enjoy a snack. You will coordinate these activities as well as a maximum of four parent volunteers who may attend and help with each social.

If you are interested in becoming a Homeroom Parent for your child’s classroom, please fill out the Google Form below by Friday, September 15th. One Homeroom Parent will be selected per class. Parents can only be selected as a Homeroom Parent for one classroom per school year. All Homeroom Parent questions/concerns should be directed to the HSA Board at board@salfordhillshsa.org.

Homeroom Parents are responsible for organizing and supervising the 3 classroom socials throughout the school year:

· Fall Social on Tuesday Oct. 31st at 2pm

· Winter Social on Thursday, December 21st at 2pm

· Valentine's Day Social on Wednesday, February 14th at 2pm

As always, we appreciate your willingness to help at Salford Hills!
