Adapted Community Recreation
Columbia Parks and Recreation offers adapted recreation programs (Adapted Community Recreation), located at Stuart Parker Housing Development (formerly Paquin Tower), and is designed for individuals with special needs. The program is open to the community. Also offered, is Adapted Sports housed at the Activity and Recreation Center (ARC). If you wish to participate in any Parks and Recreation activity, yet feel you may need some special accommodation, please call the office.

Adapted Sports
The City of Columbia offers numerous sports to individuals with special needs. Competitions are through Special Olympics, however, competing is not required for participation. When you register, please be sure that your athlete has a current physical and release form. New participants must schedule a New Athlete Meeting prior to participation. To schedule a new athlete meeting, contact Jessica Sida.

Olive Garden
Join us for an early lunch on April 7 at 10:30 am for Olive Garden. Please bring money for lunch and make sure your Rec Card is current.
Saturday Ceramics
The art room will be open on April 8, 11 am-2 pm for arts and crafts.
Egg Dying
Learn new creative ways to dye eggs on April 10 at 12 pm. All supplies will be provided. Studio fee is $2.00. Please sign up in advance.
Paul Mitchell
Time for a new hairdo? We'll head to Paul Mitchell School on April 11 at 1 pm.
Adapted Bell Choir
Learn how to play the melody chimes on April 17 at 3:30 pm. We'll meet in the lobby of Paquin Tower.
Climbing In North America
Come listen to a fellow participant speak about his climbing experiences in North America. He will be speaking for roughly 30 minutes to an hour and have about 80 slides to show.
DIY Laundry Soap
Come down and learn how to your own laundry detergent on April 21 at 2 pm. All supplies will be provided, and samples will be given to each participant. Studio fee is $2.00.
Cooking with Anna
Meet Anna in the Paquin kitchen on April 26 at 5 pm for a fun lesson in cooking. Different receipes will be tried every month.
Biscuits and Gravy
Breakfast will be served on April 28 at 9 am. B&G will be $2.00/plate.
Dance at the ARC
Join us at the ARC for a fun night of great music and lots of dancing on April 28 at 6:30 pm. Snacks will be provided. Cost is $5.00 at the door and is located at 1701 W. Ash St. Columbia, MO 65203.
Happy Hour Fitness (HHF)
Happy Hour Fitness is a small group that meets Monday through Friday at 3 pm to be more active. Fridays are chair yoga days the other days are open to suggestion!
Unofficial Paquin Movie Group
The movie group will meet in the lobby of Paquin every Tuesday evening at 6 pm. Movies shown will be voted on the week before and popcorn will be provided.
