Message from Mentor Me

Hello Penngrove community. Although the rain continues to come, Spring is right around the corner. More sunshine and longer days gives us more time to spend with a mentee. Anyone can become a mentor if you are over 18 years of age and have one hour a week to give to a student. We also ask for a 2 year commitment, as it is so important to be a consistent and present person in your mentee's life for at least that period of time. The steps in becoming a mentor are:

  1. fill out an application here: https://wearementorme.org/become-a-mentor/apply/
  2. complete a 2 hour training at the Mentor Me Cavanaugh Center
  3. get fingerprinted.
After all of these steps are complete, you can meet with me Sarah Keiser and we can talk about the activities you enjoy and your interests. I than spend a lot of time and thought into placing you with the mentee on our waitlist that best matches you, your interests and your energy level to make sure we have a wonderful, strong and lasting relationship. I put a lot of effort into finding the best match possible so that the mentorship is enjoying, fun and easy. Creating the situation for a natural and successful bond between you and your mentee. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Sarah Keiser 707-332-5969 skeiser@wrmm.org
