Principal's Notes and Highlights
This week I'm including a photo of our staff from yesterday's breakfast as our background. Staff wore ugly sweaters and equally ugly socks. They most definitely appreciated the wonderful breakfast and having their morning duty covered by our fabulous PTO!
I encourage you to take a close look at this picture. They are a goofy, happy, and fun-loving bunch. They support each other and are there to help when needed. They know what it means to be a team. They also have an incredible work ethic. I know they are tired today, but that's because they have given everything to make sure your students have a positive experience. I feel fortunate to work with such wonderful people.
As we wrap up 2017, I'm not only thankful for getting to work with this team, but also to have such devoted parents who are committed to ensuring this school is the best place for children to learn. The CSA Lincoln community is more than just a collection of staff, students and parents. We are a family.
Thank you for being committed to our family! Enjoy your break and we will see you next year. :)

Incident at CSA Lincoln Elementary
I want to make you aware of an incident that happened in the early morning hours here at CSA Lincoln Elementary.
At 4:40 a.m. on Wednesday an intruder entered CSA Lincoln Elementary through a door that had inadvertently been left unlocked. The man left with a laptop. He entered a second time at 5:20 a.m. and left at 5:48 a.m. with two 800 MHz radios and two smaller radios. The Columbus Police Department has looked at film and is investigating.
No staff member was in the building at that time and the building was secured before students arrived this morning. Appropriate steps are being taken to ensure this does not happen again.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
The Staff Holiday Breakfast was a Success!
What a wonderful way to let our staff know how much we love and appreciate them! We were too busy enjoying our time covering staff duties (we have some pretty great kiddos at this school too!) to take any pictures, but the breakfast tables were full and we did see lots of smiling staff members! Thank you to all those who volunteered and donated to make the staff holiday breakfast a great success!
CSA Lincoln Family Night at Kidscommons: REVISION to the flyer coming home!
PTO STILL invites you to celebrate the New Year and our first week back to school by joining your classmates at Kidscommons! After-hours admission is FREE to all CSA-Lincoln families from 6-8pm on Friday, January 12th.
REVISION: Due to an unexpected restaurant repair at the 3rd street McDonald's we have had to cancel the McDonald's fundraiser for CAP/Mr. Shipley the night of January 12. Over the break PTO will be putting our heads together to come up with another fun way to help support Mr. Shipley and his bid for CAP Prom King 2018 so watch for that when we come back from break! If you would like to "vote" for Mr. Shipley or follow his progress, visit: https://capprom.com/index.php. All proceeds go to the Child Abuse Prevention Program.
