CFLC Library Monthly Newsletter
JANUARY 2023
A MESSAGE TO FAMILIES, COMMUNITY MEMBERS, & EDUCATORS
Happy New Year!
This month the CFLC newsletter focus is about goal setting and motivation as we wrap-up the holiday season and head into the coldest months of the year. Children (and adults) of all ages can struggle with the "winter blues" so this month's newsletter offers resources to help children feel more successful and happy.
As always, please look through the current community events at the bottom of this newsletter as well as previous CFLC newsletters found in the following section.
For weekly hours, parenting articles, book information, and community updates, please consider following the CFLC Resource Library on social media. Links to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter are at the bottom of this newsletter.

The Magical Yet "Each of us, from the day we're born, is accompanied by a special companion--the Yet. Can't tie your shoes? Yet! Can't ride a bike? Yet! Can't play the bassoon? Don't worry, Yet is there to help you out. The Magical Yet is the perfect tool for parents and educators to turn a negative into a positive when helping children cope with the inevitable difficult learning moments we all face. Whether a child or an adult, this encouraging and uplifting book reminds us that we all have things we haven't learned...yet!" - WorldCat | Because "A series of events, some seemingly very insignificant, lead to a young girl attending a life-changing concert" - WorldCat. Parents/caregivers can use this book to teach how we can be inspired and can inspire others through our feelings and actions. | After the Fall: How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again "After falling off the wall, Humpty Dumpty is very afraid of climbing up again, but is determined not to let fear stop him." -WorldCat. Parents/caregivers can use this book to teach young children about perseverance and embracing fear. |
