SMGCS is hosting the 7:30 Mass on Sunday, November 13, 2022. We are looking for students to read the readings and petitions, and to serve as hospitality ministers. Please consider attending this Mass with your family. Students are asked to attend in their Mass uniforms. See the link to sign up below my note.
I am looking for Veterans to speak to the students about their experiences in the military. If you or someone you know can help, please send me an email with contact information. Everyone is invited to join us for a rosary for our nation at 2:30 on November 11th in the church.
November 11th our students will be meeting with their Faith Families to pack the Box of Joy for kids in need. Please see the list of items that are requested in this edition of the TT and send your child in with a gift to donate. This will be our Christmas Drive for the year. Please participate if you are able.

November 13th All School Mass Sign Up
Please review the available slots in the link below and sign up for our All School Mass on Sunday, November 13th at 7:30am. All students participating must wear SMG Mass Uniform and arrive to check in by 7:15am in the narthex. Junior High students may receive one (1) hour of service. Thank you!
Athletic Handbook Acknowledgement Forms Due

Students may not attend practice or games until they have a signed Student/Parent handbook acknowledgement form on file. This is found at the end of the handbook. You can print this form and return it to the front office.
Butter Braids Orders Due NOVEMBER 7th
The deadline to order Butter Braids has been extended until November 7th!! The last day to order Butter Braids is, Monday, November 7th.

Butter Braids cannot be shipped. You will be responsible to deliver orders to your customers, so be sure to sell to local people who you know! Butter Braid pick-up will be on Thursday, November 17th at SMGCS. More details will be sent out as the date approaches.
Thanksgiving Food Basket Drive: November 7th-14th
Box of Joy Items Due November 11th
A Box of Joy is a Christmas shoe box, donated and packed with toys, clothing, school supplies, and hygiene items by participants from U.S. parishes, schools and groups. Each gift represents Christ’s love and may be the only Christmas gift children in developing countries are blessed to receive.
Each SMG Faith Family is collecting items for a Box of Joy. Please be sure your donations are sent to school by Friday, November 11th. The boxes will be mailed Saturday to ensure they arrive by Christmas.

Dinner Dance Class Basket Deadline Extended to Dec. 2nd
Dinner Dance Class Basket donation deadline has been extended to December 2nd.
Also, in an effort to help curate the baskets, you will find links to each Class Basket below. Hopefully this will help make things easier on families as well! Thank you to anyone who has already turned items in! They will be spectacular additions to the baskets.
Of course, we welcome anything that you'd like to donate and are open to your creative additions! Each basket sign up lists an idea for a "main" item, additional items, and other ways to donate for our Chairperson to purchase anything else that is needed.

Home and School Corner
- Thank you to all the families and friends that showed up to our Spring Creek Dine-Out! The three winning homerooms are Girton, Cruz, and Gutierrez. Spring Creek will be presenting a check to the school during the next H&S meeting. Thank you again!!
- Don’t forget to get your butter braid orders in by Monday 11/7. All money raised will go towards a new podium and podium banner.
- We gave our teachers and staff some well deserved sweet treats for Halloween.

- Home and School meeting is Tuesday, November 15 at 7 pm.
- SMG Ballet Folklorico will be performing at the meeting. They will also be selling taco plates before the meeting from 6-7 pm. They are raising money for new outfits.

All Saints Day
On All Saints Day we celebrate the saints who have died and reached heaven. In recognition, SMG students dressed as angels and saints and processed into the church for Mass on Tuesday, November 1st. Father Mike asked all the Saint Michaels to lead us in the closing "Prayer to Saint Michael the Archangel".

The Living Saints Museum came alive as 7th and 8th grade students, dressed as a saint, told the story of their saint's life to younger SMG students.

AED Drill
An automated external defibrillator (AED) is a medical device designed to analyze the heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to victims of ventricular fibrillation to restore the heart rhythm to normal.
Under the direction of Nurse Beth Arseneau, SMG teachers have been trained in CPR and the use of an AED. On Thursday, we had a drill designed to practice and reinforce realistic CPR and AED skills for responders/rescuers in our school.
Mission Mass
All Fort Worth Dioceses 3rd through 8th grade students attended a Mission Mass Friday hosted at the Vietnamese Martyrs Catholic Church in Arlington. Bishop Olson
