The Hungate Echo
Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Issue 19
A word from Mr Broom
Plans are also going well for the school building expansion. We've had six companies visit site to gather information for the final tender process and, all being well, the works should start at the beginning of summer. We've also published next year's holiday dates which are available for you to look at here.
Finally, I completed my round of teaching visits looking at behaviour for learning this week. This is the way in which our children engage with their tasks and challenges. I have to say they were all brilliant and I'd like to say thank you to the teaching staff for providing such exciting exercises to really engage our young learners.
Have a lovely week ahead.

Uniform Reminder
Additionally, the school uniform policy on footwear is black shoes. We have a small number of children who attend in trainers, boots etc. Please ensure your child wears black shoes to school.
Thank you, as always, for your support in this matter.
Punctuality Issues
Teachers collect children from their lines at 0840 and doors close for registration at 0845.
Please ensure your child arrives at school to line up with their friends, ready for their day.

Mobile Phone Use by Pupils - TIK TOK WARNING
We are also aware that children in school are using an App called TikTok to communicate with each other and the wider world. I've included a parent information sheet regarding the dangers of this app, intended for use by those over 12. To access the App, your child has to have fabricated their age (to appear over 12) or has been granted permission by an adult.
