VUSD Festival of the Arts
The Festival of the Arts is back on March 12, 2022. Please mark your calendars for a day filled with impressive visual and performing arts outdoors by students throughout the school district.
Happy New Year!
Hello Vista Academy Families,
Happy New Year! Please review the new Bell Schedule since we will be adding 3 minutes to the dismissal times each day.
Calling All VAVPA Alumni:
We would love to connect with our past students and hear how you are doing. Please share with us what you have been up to since you graduated from Vista Academy and how the arts have guided you on your path. Our students are always curious about possible careers and the World of Work related to an arts education. Even if you are currently not working in an arts related career we would still like to hear how the arts have impacted your life.
Important COVID-19 Information:

Health & Safety Important Information:
COVID-19 Decision Tree:
The COVID Decision Tree has been updated 1/10/22 and is here in ENGLISH, SPANISH. The update also includes the latest information regarding quarantine options for persons exposed to COVID-19.
We will continue to ensure that safety is a top priority at Vista Academy. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
COVID-19 Notification Process Update:
We will no longer be notifying the entire school with COVID notification letters and phone messages. Only classes with direct exposure or close contacts to a COVID positive will be notified. We will provide a weekly update on the number of new cases each week in this update in the health and safety section. For this past week we had 7 COVID-19 cases impacting our campus this week and 2 positive wastewater samples.
Please refer to Dr. Doyle’s latest community update and daily updates on districtwide COVID cases will be listed by school on the COVID dashboard.
UCSD Study at VAPA - FREE Covid Testing for Students and Staff
Only students whose parents provide consent will be included in the Covid testing. The test is non-invasive, and will be an added benefit for our students as we enter the cold and flu season. With your help, UCSD hopes to develop an anonymous, low cost Covid monitoring system that can be used at schools and child cares across San Diego County.
Opt-in Parent Consent Form
Please help us make this program effective by giving consent for your child to be tested for COVID-19. Students will only be tested if there is a positive waste water sample or COVID detected on a surface in the classroom.
Complete the parent consent form digitally:

Spanish: https://redcap.link/saseaconsentspn
If you need help filling out the consent form or need to use one of our computers, please reach out to our Community Liaison, Mr. Jorge Garcia.
