BILL OF RIGHTS
Amendments 1 and 3, By: William Pollack, Period 3
1st AMENDMENT
The first amendment allows freedom of speech to anyone, no matter who you are or what you are going to say. In this it also includes, the right to a peaceful protest, the right to speak out against the government, and freedom of press and religion. This is one of the more well known and maybe the most important amendment.
3rd AMENDMENT
The third amendment prohibits the quartering act. This means that in no circumstance you will have to forcefully house and care for all of the needs of a soldier without you being okay with it. This is important as in the beginning of the new nation it got tons of people mad as they had to care for soldiers without pay or say.
