ST. MARY PHOENIX NEWS
April 26, 2019
Mrs. Marvin’s Corner
Welcome Back from our much needed Spring Break. We are in the last leg of the School Year and the days will fly by. Check out the upcoming events for May. MAP Testing begins on Tuesday. Please make sure your children eat breakfast and get enough sleep. Remind them to do their best.
In the next two weeks, our Second Grade Students will be receiving the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. The students have been preparing all year for this important day through prayer, adoration, Spiritual Retreat and instruction and support from many people in the St. Mary Community. We join them in celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist whether in person or in praying for them on their special day. Please pray for our Second Graders as they receive this great gift from Christ. Please view the following video about "The Holy Eucharist" as a reminder of the special gift we were given from Christ.

Our Spring Music Program will be held Tuesday, May 7th at 2:00 p.m. in the Activity Center! This year's Program is called 100% Chance of Rain! and will feature Kindergarten through Fourth Graders. The Fourth Graders will be Noah and family- they will have costumes to put over their uniforms at school. Kindergarten through Third Graders will be the animals! They are welcome to wear animal costumes, or hats/ears/tails, or shirts with animals or in animal print with uniform pants or shorts (NO skirts, please). All students will change into costumes at school, so please send them in uniform. We hope to see you at the Program!
St. Mary School Information
Since 1865, people have known St. Mary School students by their actions. This is because throughout our history, we have focused on building student’s character, based on the values instilled by the Catholic Faith, and a foundation of academic excellence.
St. Mary School provides a welcoming environment where families have the freedom to celebrate the faith. In a world of need, responsibility matters and strength is needed to serve our communities. It is our mission to develop students who have the ability to be mentors and leaders in the world. We recognize that each student is a unique gift from God and we individualize instruction to help them reach their full potential. We strive to promote an atmosphere that encourages a love of learning and provides children with a foundation of faith to balance and guide them for the rest of their lives.
