We would like to create a smoother process for car rider pickup in the afternoon. Below is a graphic outlining our new procedures. Please note a few items:

1. If you will be exiting behind the school by the Fire Department, you will use the right lane for car rider pickup.

2. If you will be exiting at the main entrance of DCMS, you will use the left lane for car rider pickup.

3. For cars in the left lane: To keep the line moving, cars awaiting students longer than a few moments will be directed to pull around the parking lot into the spaces facing the building. School staff will work with you to locate your child and assist them in safely getting to your vehicle.

We need your help to make this process efficient and effective. Please talk to your child about afternoon dismissal and remind them to begin looking for their ride immediately when they exit the front of the school. Also, let them know which line to expect your vehicle.
