1/2 Day Asynchronous Learning - November 3, 2023
Friday, November 3, 2023 will be the first of three half-days of asynchronous learning for students in Prince George’s County Public Schools. Schools will be closed and, instead of attending in person, instruction will be “asynchronous,” which means lessons and attendance forms will be shared without live instruction through Canvas. Here are some things you need to know to prepare for asynchronous instruction:
You should leave school on Thursday, November 2 with all materials you will need to access online work (chromebook, charger, etc).
Independent practice assignments will be posted in each of your virtual classes via Canvas by 9am; be sure to pay close attention to the due dates/times for your assignments. Contact your teacher right away if you need help with following the assignment instructions.
An attendance form will be posted in each of your virtual classes via Canvas by 9am; you must complete the attendance form by 11:59pm - no exceptions.
If you have technical difficulties, contact Mrs. Crocheron carla.crocheron@pgcps.org for assistance. If your technical issues are not resolved and prevent you from accessing your class, have a parent or guardian contact your administrator.
Let's have a great week!!!
Your Proud, Proud, Principal
Ms. Mar-c Holland

ATTENDANCE AND GRADES MATTER
School attendance plays a major part in student achievement. Being chronically absent or missing 10% of the school year (about 18 days) for lawful or unlawful reasons can drastically affect a student’s academic success.
School achievement begins with regular attendance. Parents/guardians must ensure that all school-age children in their care are in school on time daily. Attendance must be taken every day by each teacher, the first 15 minutes of every class.
