Homeroom Assignments
School Supplies
We are still not bringing large groups together for indoor events, so will not have a supply drop off before the first day of school. Students will not need all of their supplies on the first day, so feel free to have them bring a little each day rather than everything all at once to make it more manageable.
School Day
Below is information to share what the school day will look like with the current guidelines:
- Playgrounds will be available to students in the morning. Supervision begins at 8:30a on normal days and 9:20a on Thursdays.
Grades 1, 4, 5 - North playground/blacktop
Grades 2, 3 - West playground/blacktop
- Students will line up with their classes at roughly 8:42a (9:32a Thursday) and start to enter the building at 8:45a (9:35a Thursday).
- The school day begins at 8:50a (9:40a Thursday). Any student arriving after that time will enter the building through the main office and will be marked tardy.
- Masks do not have to be worn when outside.
Classrooms
- All staff and students will wear masks in the building. Masks do not need to be worn outside.
- Students may be grouped into "pods" in classes and each pod will be at least 3 feet apart.
- Student pods will stay the same when students switch classes for specials.
- Close contacts for contact tracing is now defined as at least 3 feet apart when both parties are wearing masks.
- Students should bring a reusable water bottle to use throughout the day.
- Teachers will communicate about snacks. Students will not be able to eat in the classrooms, so any snack would have to be eaten outside or possibly in the cafeteria if it is open.
Lunch/Recess
- Breakfast and lunch will be available to all students free of charge this school year (see flyer below).
- Hot food and milk will return to student lunches.
- Students will eat at individual tables spaces apart.
Dismissal
- Bus Riders - Students will have assigned seats on the bus and will line up in seat order outside of the office. Routes will be escorted to and loaded on buses by an adult.
- Walkers - Students will exit on the north side of the building. 1st grade students will need to be picked up by an adult or sibling from door 14.
- Car Pickup - Cars will pick up in the back of the parking lot near the west playground. Family transportation numbers will be shared as soon as bus lists are finalized.
