New Era Begins at Argyle High School!
A new era began last week for Argyle High School with the opening of the new campus in Canyon Falls. Phase II of the 2017 Bond included a conversion of this campus from a middle school to a high school and required both campuses switching locations this summer. The campus still has construction being completed through September.
Phase II of Argyle High School includes these additions:
- New instructional wing and more than 40 additional classrooms
- Auditorium
- Black box theatre
- Band Hall
- Choir Room
- Expanded Library/Cafeteria
- Gymnasium
- Fieldhouse
- Dedicated Band practice lot
- Athletic Practice Fields
COVID-19 Cases - Reporting & Dashboard
Additionally, Argyle ISD has created a COVID-19 dashboard to keep parents, staff, students and the community aware of the positive case totals at the campuses. The dashboard is updated by 6 p.m. each school day. The numbers are based on only cases confirmed through documentation.
Argyle ISD Family Day at Rangers Sunday!
Tickets are sold out for the promotional Argyle-Rangers caps. For those who bought these tickets, the caps can be picked up at a special kiosk near Section 116 on the main concourse.
Argyle ISD and the Argyle High School Choir will be featured on the videoboard at the game. Don't miss this fun afternoon with fellow Eagles at the new Globe Life Field.

District's New Clear Bag Policy at Eagle Stadium
All spectators attending games at Eagle Stadium (located at 191 US-377) will be required to use clear bags for personal belongings. Bags approved include a clear tote bag (12” x 6” x 12"), a small clutch bag (4.5” x 6.5“) or a one-gallon clear resealable plastic bag. Please see the attachment for examples.
Backpacks, purses, plastic grocery bags, diaper bags, duffle bags and large tote bags are NOT permitted. All personal items must be stored in a clear bag with the specified size requirements. Thank you for partnering with us in this safety initiative that will also allow spectators quicker entry at the gates.

Hilltop Elementary Closed To Visitors
Hilltop Elementary will be closed to all visitors and volunteers starting Friday, Aug. 27. This new guideline will be in place through Friday, Sept. 10.
The campus will remain open for instruction and regular daily operations.
Hilltop Elementary currently has 33 active COVID-19 cases (students & staff) and this safety measure is being implemented to help minimize the potential spread of the virus on campus. All events and gatherings at the campus are on hold until further notice.
Parents and guardians will still be allowed to enter the front office area only to check-in students or drop off items. Visitors and volunteers will not be allowed additional access inside the building.

Chief Cairney's Safety Reminders
- Left-hand turn from southbound HWY 377 at the AMS marquee is still ILLEGAL
- Left-hand turn from Old Justin Rd onto HWY 377 is ILLEGAL
- Be cautious if the bus is flashing yellow lights. Passing a bus with flashing red lights may be illegal and can be a $500 fine
- New 4-way stop in the AMS parking between the fieldhouse and baseball field parking lot
- The Town of Argyle has a hands-free ordinance, so you may NOT text or use your phone while driving within town limits. State law also forbids cell phone use while driving in school zones throughout the state.

Lady Eagles Hosting Vollyeball Tournament
The Lady Eagles won their first two pool play games with sweeps against Anna and Denison.

Cross Country Teams Off to Great Starts
The girls compete Saturday in the Argyle Invitational in Haltom City and the boys will compete in the Southlake Carroll XC Invitational at Bob Jones Park in Southlake.
