Mission Valley Tournament Champions!
Wrestling - Coach Andrews
On Saturday the Cards road-tripped to Beautiful Eskridge Kansas for the Mission Valley Invitational. The Cards finished the day strong with 14 placers including 5 individual champions and securing the team title. Placing for the Cards were as follows:

The Eudora freshman boys are off to a good start this season. The Cardinals opened against Basehor Linwood in their home opener winning 61-43. Eudora jumped out to a 20 to 10 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Although the freshman boys won, the game was dominated by turnovers by both teams leading to a very sloppy game. Leading the way for the Cardinals was Jaden Hamm. Hamm exploded for 20 points and 8 rebounds. Micah Barron chipped in with 13 points and Conner Dunback scored 11 points. Jaiden Bender was a force on the boards collecting a team high 10 rebounds.
Last night the Cardinals won their second game of the season on the road against Bonner Springs, 53-18. Eudora jumped on the Braves leading to a halftime score of 33-6. The Cardinals displayed a defensive clinic collecting 17 steals and blocking 6 shots. Again the team was led by Hamm with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Cole Parker got the team started by scoring all eight of his points in the first quarter including 2 three-pointers. Kale Hammerschmidt led the team with 4 assists and 4 steals. Eudora will look to build upon their season this Saturday as they travel to Wellsville to compete in their freshman tournament.
Varsity Girls Basketball - Coach Ebel
JV Girls Basketball - Coach Gray
The JV Girls squad opened their season last Thursday with a loss at the hands of Basehor by a score of 19-38. Scoring for the Lady Cards was So. Rylee Calhoon 5, So. Abby Watson 4, So. Ashley Kuntz 3, So Sadie Walker 2, Jr. Emma Brown 2, Jr. Brylee Graff 2, and So. Mackenzie Mayer 1. The Cardinals’ next action is Wednesday in the first round of the Ottawa JV Tournament.
C-Team Girls Basketball - Coach Stueve
The C-Team Lady Cardinals kicked off their season last Thursday at home against Basehor-Linwood. The Cardinals got off to a great start with a quick basket from Freshman Liz Mueting and then battled back and forth with the Lady Bobcats for the remainder of the game. With great effort and hustle the Lady Cards ultimately fell short with a final score of 31-35. Freshman Sawyer Schreiner led the team in scoring with 16 points.

Scholars Bowl - Ms Garrison
The Varsity squad travelled to DeSoto 12/3 for the annual (and massive) 32 team tournament. In this "bellwether for the postseason" tournament, EHS beat every 4A school they will meet at League or Regionals losing only to 3 5A and 6A squads. On the night, the team finished 4-3. Grace Schieferecke finished with 10 points, Emily Howard earned 30 points, Matthew Karten ended with 60 points, KJ Inskeep had 100 points, and Ender Isenburg finished with 210 points.
The JV Scholars Bowl Squad traveled to Paola on 12/5 finishing with a record of 6-3 in a very competitive tournament and bringing home 3rd place medals! Dalton Shrum earned 10 points, Eythen Moore brought home 20 points, Aiden Miller had 30 points, Natalie Karten finished with 50 points, and Brandon Warner earned 240 points.
FBLA - Mrs Brown
On Saturday, December 7, several FBLA members helped the EES PTO with the Donuts with Santa event. FBLA enjoys helping the PTO whenever possible, and they love being elves for the holidays. FBLA will be spending the holidays getting ready to host our District VI competition on January 15. EHS will be hosting 9 area schools to compete in our FBLA events.
